Shakti Caravan Earthday Benefit at Matagiri Sri Aurobindo Center

Tales from the Caravan: The 50th Anniversary Gala Dinner
Come home to your Caravan and join all the generations of The Vanaver Caravan community as we gather for an evening of good food, good drink, good music, and dancing merriment. Journey back through the decades to experience the highlights, recreations of the best dances, the most wonderful adventures, and good friends who have brought The Vanaver Caravan to life for half a century.

Battery Dance Festival: 50 Year Retrospective
Join us at the Battery Dance Festival! In celebration of The Vanaver Caravan’s 50th year anniversary of their first performance in 1972, they present excerpts from their legacy of innovative world dance and music. This retrospective showcase weaves together a percussive dance tapestry of pieces from their renowned repertoire. Featuring works inspired by American, Irish, African, French Canadian, and Balkan traditions, and a cast composed of world renowned Caravan dancers.

REVERENCE: A Dance & Music homage to Opus 40
The Vanaver Caravan has been performing at Opus 40 since 1979. This beautiful, sacred mile long stone sculpture by Harvey Fite has been the environment for many site specific pieces over the years. This summer, choreographer/composer: Sandy Silva will be collaborating with The Vanaver Caravan, Gah-be, Debbie Lan and BLOOM, and Nina Jirka to create an interactive event with the community and the stones on August 12 at 5:30 PM. Hudson Valley Flamenco Festival (Copy)
The Vanaver Caravan is honored to co-produce the Hudson Valley Flamenco Festival with our beloved alumna, Company Member, and SummerDance faculty member, Anna Librada. Join us this weekend! Every August the Flamenco Festival transforms the arts scene in the Hudson Valley to create an experience of flamenco that doesn’t exist anywhere else outside of Spain with: flamenco flash mobs, cooking classes, workshops for all ages, flamenco shows in intimate settings, high performance art in local theatres. Summer Wellness Festival
Using the arts as a catalyst for joyful community-building, Summer Wellness Festival provides support for the mental health and well-being of children, teens, and young adults in the Hudson Valley. Summer Wellness Festival will be an intimate one day event made up of various local organizations and dance studios, each dedicated to the mental, emotional, and physical well-being of youth in the hudson valley. This festival is the culminating event of SummerDance, and is co-produced by The Vanaver Caravan's Youth Company & Caravan Kids with Stone Mountain Farm, the Hudson Valley Flamenco Festival, Maya Gold Foundation, Rise Outside Collective, and more. An Evening of Music at Opus 40
Join The Vanaver Caravan Musicians on July 30th at Opus 40 for the Stockade Saturday Cabaret, featuring live music, poetry, great food, and drinks, all framed by the remarkable Catskill Mountains at sunset.

Walkway Over the Hudson: Bridge Music Dance Project
Walkway Over the Hudson presents the Bridge Music Dance Project, a program of innovative performances choreographed to “Bridge Music” and performed by dancers from the Hudson Valley. The Bridge Music Dance Project is a collaborative event, hosted by the Walkway Friends organization, and created by Livia Vanaver, founder of the renowned Vanaver Caravan Dance troupe, with eight other choreographers and Joseph Bertolozzi, composer of “Bridge Music."
This performance is free and open to the public.

'Woody Guthrie's America Dancing!': Performance at the Morgan Library
Join The Vanaver Caravan at the Morgan Library and Museum in NYC - for an audience participation performance featuring American clogging, square dancing, body percussion, modern dance, swing dance, and hoedowns set to Americana music. The exhibition Woody Guthrie: People Are the Song will be open for program attendees before and after the family program. This concert is made possible in part with funding from the New York State Council on the Arts Dance Program.
