The Vanaver Caravan is honored to co-produce the Hudson Valley Flamenco Festival with our beloved alumna, Company Member, and SummerDance faculty member, Anna Librada.

About the Hudson Valley Flamenco Festival

Every August the Flamenco Festival transforms the arts scene in the Hudson Valley to create an experience of flamenco that doesn’t exist anywhere else outside of Spain with:

  • flamenco flash mobs

  • cooking classes

  • workshops for all ages

  • flamenco shows in intimate settings

  • high performance art in local theatres


FESTIVAL SCHEDULE

Saturday AUG 6:

  • 11:30am Safe Harbors Newburgh: Flamenco for Everybody/ FREE

  • 3pm Summer*Fest, CSS Tilson/ Flamenco Song and Dance Workshops with Ania La Candela, Anna Librada and Alfonso Cid. vanavercaravan.org

SUNDAY AUG 7:

  • 11:30am TrashBata: Gardiner Library

  • "TrashBata" is a one-woman dance theater production that uses the language of flamenco to speak to the problem of plastic. Conceived and performed by Bárbara Martínez.

  • 6pm Whitecliff Vineyard, Gardiner NY/ Flamenco in the Wild/ Tickets $28/$24/$15 hvflamencofestival.com

  • Be transported to the sun-baked vineyards of Andalusia with the HV Flamenco Festival. Bring a picnic and enjoy the offerings of the Whitecliff Vineyard while you watch a mesmerizing, moving flamenco performance as the sun sets over the Ridge.
