The Vanaver Caravan is thrilled to bring our beloved holiday spectacular, Into the Light, to The Egg in Albany for a very special performance this December! We're delighted to share this Hudson Valley holiday tradition with Capital Region audiences, bringing together an extraordinary cast of dancers, musicians, puppeteers, and special guests for an afternoon of music, magic, and celebration.
A whimsical winter tale for all ages, Into the Light follows Lucia, a young girl journeying through the winter landscape in search of hope, warmth, and joy. Along the way, she encounters a colorful cast of characters who welcome her into their celebrations, sharing the songs, dances, and traditions that bring communities together during the darkest days of the year.
Featuring The Vanaver Caravan's vibrant world dance and live music alongside the larger-than-life puppetry of Arm-of-the-Sea Theater, Into the Light celebrates the beauty of our diverse cultural traditions and the joy of coming together.
For this special Albany performance, we're delighted to welcome guest artists:
Albany's Corazón Latino Dance Company
Barely Lace
Together with our multigenerational cast of dancers, singers, and live musicians, these wonderful artists will help bring Into the Light to life on The Egg's stage.
We can't wait to celebrate with our Albany friends, old and new! Join us for an afternoon of wonder, whimsy, and the music and dance that bring us together.
