'Tis the season again for celebration, giant puppets, candle-lighting, and story-telling!
Into the Light is our Holiday Spectacular in collaboration with Arm-of-the-Sea Theater that tells the story of how radiant Lucia becomes lost as the summer sun’s light diminishes. Her journey to rekindle her light unfolds with enchanting dance, live music and puppetry as Lucia is guided through the world’s communities to see how people around the world light up the darkest part of the year. Audiences are reminded that there is always hope in the darkest times and that, joining with community, we can overcome challenges together.
Into the Light! touches on a variety of winter holiday traditions including Chanukah, Christmas, Kwanzaa, Sankta Lucia, Diwali, Winter Solstice, and Yule. Audiences of all ages can expect to enjoy the pageantry of this heartfelt celebration.
Brighten your holiday season and join the Caravan and Arm-of-the-Sea Theater, with special guests Barely Lace Singers as we celebrate together in Into the Light!
Upcoming Performances:
- Saturday Dec. 17th at the Ellenville High School Theater, 28 Maple Ave, Ellenville, NY
Full matinee performance at 3:00 PM, featuring the adult Company, Youth Company, and all dancers in the CaravanKids Project.
Tickets can be purchased at the door. $5 suggested donation.

He worked tirelessly to fight climate change and raise awareness about the environment. He believed that the only way to create change was through love, art, and understanding.

In this moment in history, Pete Seeger has been an inspiration to us dancers and musicians. Pete stood for people of every race, color, age, gender. He fought for equal rights. He worked tirelessly to fight climate change and raise awareness about the environment. He believed that the only way to create change was through love, art, and understanding. Song by song, he whittled away hatred and intolerance and showed people the powerful, lasting, and positive effect that music, dance, and celebration can have on a society. We stand with Pete today, and we will honor his vision towards peace with our every step we take and song we sing. Turn Turn Turn is not just a performance for us, it is part of a movement that this world needs now more than ever. We shall overcome.
