Talli Jackson

Talli Jackson is a distinguished choreographer, teacher, performer, and organizer. He began his dance journey with The Vanaver Caravan, where he was introduced to the rich tapestry of cultural dance and music. His formal training continued at the Alvin Ailey School, where he received a fellowship that launched his professional career.

From 2009 to 2017, Talli was a principal dancer with the Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane Company. His performances were noted for their intense physicality and emotional depth, significantly contributing to the company's acclaimed reputation in the dance world. His work has been presented at venues such as Tisch School for the Arts, ODC, FABnyc, The Milkbar, SAFEhouse Arts, and Temescal Art Center.

In addition to his performance career, Talli is a passionate educator and choreographer. He has taught dance workshops and masterclasses across the United States and internationally, sharing his expertise in modern dance and his unique approach to movement. He has been involved in various community-based dance initiatives and projects, using dance as a tool for cultural expression and connection.

Since leaving the Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane Company in 2017, Talli has split his time between the San Francisco Bay Area and the Hudson Valley, where he continues to influence the dance community through teaching and choreographic projects. He remains connected to The Vanaver Caravan, often returning as a guest instructor and choreographer.
