Madeleine Leonard-Rose
Madeleine Leonard-Rose (she/her) is a dance artist, postpartum doula, and producer. She collaborates with choreographers, facilitators, and families transitioning to parenthood. She comes to the role of teacher with 20 years of dance performance experience. This year, she restaged the work of Bebe Miller at NYU Tisch Dance in New York City and launched her first four residential dance workshops at Groundworks.Space in the Hudson Valley. A native Brooklynite, she also longs for the mountains–since 2020 she has backpacked over 8,000 miles, all the way across this country, thrice. Her work as a doula and experience walking long months in the woods lends her a view of the body that centers curiosity and trust. She knows that the magic is there and cultivates a dedicated embodiment practice that supports all she does, in the studio and beyond. Madeleine holds a BFA in Dance, summa cum laude, from The Ohio State University. @madslenro
