Sara Sheppard brings over a decade of dedicated teaching experience to her role as Co‑Director of CaravanKids, combining deep educational expertise with boundless creativity and compassion. She has served as a beloved elementary school teacher within the New Paltz Central School District, where her warm presence, imaginative lesson plans, and genuine care for every child have both made her a coveted teacher and her classroom a welcoming and inspiring environment.

Beyond the classroom, Sara is known throughout the community as a devoted Vanaver parent—actively involved and wholeheartedly supportive. Her big heart shines through in every aspect of her work: whether she’s leading engaging projects, supporting fellow educators, or ensuring every child feels seen and valued, Sara embodies the spirit of connection and creativity that defines CaravanKids.
