Board Member, The Vanaver Caravan

Georgia Weinmann is a veteran educator and long-time supporter of The Vanaver Caravan. As a parent of two children who grew up in the Caravan’s programs, Georgia has been deeply engaged with the organization for over a decade, contributing as a dedicated volunteer and production leader, particularly for Into the Light. She is the most recent member of the board, having joined in May 2025 for a three-year term.

Professionally, Georgia has spent over 25 years as a special education teacher in the Kingston City School District and currently teaches at J. Watson Bailey Middle School. She holds a B.A. in Education and English from Mount Saint Mary College and an M.S. in Special Education from SUNY New Paltz.

In addition to her work in education, Georgia co-founded the Majestic Skate Crew, promoting inclusive youth skateboarding and supporting girls’ skate initiatives in partnership with organizations like the Girls Riders Organization. Her passion for community, education, and the arts continues to guide her commitment to The Vanaver Caravan’s mission and future.
