Chris Messer

Chris Messer is a nonprofit professional dedicated to the intersection of culture and conservation. Chris brings over 12 years of nonprofit leadership to the board, and currently serves as the Director of Institutional Development at American Forests. Throughout his career, Chris has driven growth for numerous arts and environmental organizations, including the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, the New York Foundation for the Arts, and The Nature Conservancy. He is also a published author, with short stories in Post Road, No Tokens, The Awl, and other periodicals.
